Filiberto Zanella, was born into a family of artists in 1960. His father is still a celebrated poet and his grandfather was a creator of hand-built, prestigious violins. His brother is also a classically trained pianist and composer currently residing in the United States. Filiberto Zanella graduated from the Conservatory of Vicenza (Northern Italy) with the highest scores possible. Filiberto Zanella also has a Bachelors Degree in Arts at the prestigious University of Bologna. Filiberto, since a very early age, has always showed a particular interest in composers who were relatively unknown. After his graduation, he started a meticulous yet almost never-ending process of researching for original scores of Ildebrando Pizzetti, whose complete opera was brought to light and finally recorded by Filiberto Zanella, in 2004.
Filiberto Zanella produced four more CD recordings of primarily Italian Piano Solo Composers, that also included little known composers from Argentina, that he recorded in the past few years. Filiberto Zanella has recently completed the recordings of his latest CD containing the full collection of Ottorino Respighi.
The performance that Filiberto Zanella delivers, whether live or in the studio, is simply breathtaking. His performances shows his “Virtuoso” style, as well as, his overwhelming passion for the music and composer.
An acclaimed performer, Filiberto Zanella has captured audiences from the US to Lithuania, Brazil, Argentina (performing the works of local composers such as, Ginastera, Lorenzo Fernandez, M de Falla, Albeniz, and many more) to Colombia.
